Who we are

An Ofsted-registered day nursery set in nine acres of beautiful woodland, we provide a happy and stimulating environment for children where they can learn, play and feel at home.

Our nursery is in a converted detached house and although it’s been re-modelled to include fit-for-purpose play areas and child-friendly bathroom facilities, we’ve made an effort to keep the family feel. This is also helped by our numbers – we’re registered for 28 children so our staff are able to build strong relationships with each of the children as well as encouraging good friendships between them and their peers.

We also have two secure outdoor play spaces connected to the nursery, with all-weather safety surfaces, climbing equipment and a vegetable patch, as well as the freedom to take the children out into the wider grounds. This provides the context for our Forest School, one of the highlights of our nursery programme.

The children are cared for in two different groups: Ladybirds (3 months to 2 years) and Busy Bees (2 to 4 years). Both are managed by separate teams who are focused on providing the best care for that age group, and they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which helps children to grow in confidence, build positive relationships and begin to develop vital skills for later learning. We’re also able to support children with disabilities and special educational needs as well as those for whom English is not their first language.
